Dr. Christina Kaye was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Her love for animals stemmed from never having an empty house. She always had a loving creature to call her own. She took that love for animals and attended Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in order to achieve her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She then went on to gain some additional training in order to provide outstanding care for her patients. She did a small animal medicine and surgery internship at BluePearl in Tampa, Clearwater and Brandon. She also completed two ophthalmology internships in Georgia and Florida. During those internships she also worked at several emergency clinics. Throughout her many experiences she discovered she had a love for feline and exotics medicine. She feels that these pets are unserved in our community and deserve quality care just as much as our canine companions.

Throughout her travels for her training, she decided to come back to the great state of Florida, where she resides with her cat Khaleesi, her bearded dragon Calypso, her chinese water dragon Nubs and her ball python Kaa. When she isn’t working to advocate for her patients you can find her competing in a Tough Mudder, running a 5K (sometimes even with her cat), kayaking, hiking, traveling and baking some delicious treats for her family and friends.
